Druids Heath Community Garden Birmingham - BBC Make a Difference Campaign.

After consulting the community who live in Druids Heath Birmingham, their one wish as most live in high rise/ tower block accommodation, was to have a safe place for their children to play.

A local community centre had the space, a walled garden attached to an Elizabethan Manor House.

Darren Rudge and a group of volunteers took on the task of giving this garden a makeover.

Paths were weeded along with borders, a herb garden was created and lawns trimmed. An arbor with bench seating put into place planted with lavenders and roses.
