Classical Styling for a Small Courtyard

Stourbridge couple Liz and Steve commissioned Darren Rudge to bring some classical styling to their small but drab courtyard. Overpowering trees and shrubs were removed and tall double skinned surrounding walls built giving a walled garden feel in classical red brickwork.

Raised brick beds house planters to soften the brickwork and a garden pool with gargoyle spouting water feature to add that relaxing trickle to the garden space. A cedar shingled gazebo sits in the right hand corner with a plant room in the opposite corner.

The square lawn reflects the garden shape but is edged with herb beds leading to limestone paving that runs around the garden and down to the main patio area where tables and chairs sit outside the conservatory.
