Keys – The Gallery Garden

A Conceptual Garden Space Designed

Walsall arboretum devoted a space for a gallery garden; the first of its type in this country where outdoor art in all its forms can be displayed.

Co designed by Darren Rudge with designer Helen Wood, keys is a conceptual garden space designed and implemented as a permanent feature within the gallery garden.

The main elements are a winding pathway that leads to a number of doorways that bend and tilt at various angles. An attaché case full of a multitude of different keys lies open for you to choose and walk the winding pathway to a doorway to your future; The key you choose, pathway and doorway is completely up to you but various options lie ahead; these options will be different for everyone that walks the pathway.
