The Round House is a true labour of love and artistry spanning 25 years to build, stands as a testament to sustainable sophistication and masterfully constructed from recycled materials salvaged from schools and churches from across the West Midlands; a singular masterpiece perched on a plot that spans over one acre at the highest point of Wednesbury.
Tasked with converting three large koi carp ponds into three show gardens, designs were developed to keep the theme of water running through and as a link.
Design one is a striking dry riverbed with multi layered deck, dry river bed constructed with glacial boulders, cobbles and pebbles sourced from mid Wales and softened using trees shrubs perennials and grasses.
Design two is a formal Japanese garden, with large family patio, pergola and gazebo. Planted using Camellias, Rhododendrons, and grasses, box balls and climbers, with a bubbling rock water feature.
Design three sits nexts to the garden windmill and is a Dutch garden. Planted in a Dutch new wave style with perennials, shrubs and grasses, to give an intimate feel to this space. Breedon gravel is the pathway here and the space gives a place just to sit and contemplate surrounded by plants.
