Pool House Farm Courtyard

A Full Design Work Through for a Forlorn Courtyard

Anne and Mike decided to give their farmhouse courtyard a full design work through as it was looking a little forlorn, unloved and lost.

Walls were removed, a new boundary wall installed and internal walls clad in light oak stained lath screening to give a sleek contemporary flow, replacing cracked and flaking render.

Sustainable but Aesthetic Wildlife Friendly Planting

Modak rose paving replaces the drab concrete print paving previously installed  and a sustainable but aesthetic wildlife friendly planting is now place for a central planted bed and outer raised beds, which includes Agapanthus, Astrantia, Penstemon, Salvia, Eryngium, Crocosmia, Geranium, Geum,  Heuchera , Hosta and much more.

A space that invites parties, and relaxation plus an aesthetic wildlife planting; good for mind, body and spirit.

The pergola rises out of the planting to link the outbuildings to the new garden.  Clothed in Lonicera, Clematis, Parthenocissus and Trachlospernum.

A millstone waterfeature also now trickles away and a glass screen lets the outside in using the borrowed landscape beyond.

Finally pots dotted here and there complete this design.
