As a professional and busy couple Alison and Darren commissioned Darren Rudge to bring some contemporary charisma to their rear garden for them to relax and enjoy this space. The existing site was overwhelmed with mature trees and shrubs and a large turf area that was generally unfriendly and uninviting.
Sleek limestone paving introduces you to the garden forming the side entrance an main patio area, where rattan furniture and a stainless steel fire pit invites you to sit out in all weather conditions. Raised beds and steps encourage you to step up a level into a crisp formal lawn area that is flanked by contemporary planted borders ;planted for lower maintenance and to give colour and interest throughout the year.
Bamboo screening hides the view as you take yet another step up to the third level which contains a clean double garage area where Darren maintains his classic sports car and there’s secure parking for the other vehicles in the household.
The slow trickle of the mirrored globe water feature and soft mood lighting complete this design with Alison and Darren extending the commission to their front garden area. Both areas have clean and sleek contemporary lines reflected both in the building materials and planting creating a garden with a charismatic contemporary twist.
