A garden area created by Darren Rudge for the use of school children and the wider community.
The garden consists of a sensory area and two working areas.
The sensory area was designed to stimulate the senses through movement, touch smell and sound, with a range of plants being used to create atmosphere and interaction.
The first working area is a crop rotation vegetable allotment; with the second being and area to grow soft fruit which includes raspberries, gooseberries, strawberries and rhubarb. A compost area is also incorporated so that any waste can be recycled.
This garden won second prize in a national competition run by the Kitchen Garden Magazine for best community garden and was also opened recently by Dr David Bellamy.
